Women’s issues review
PA Wellington The Government’s record on women’s issues will be studied by the Labour women’s policy conference in Wellington next month. The conference, run by the party’s women’s council, will be attended by women party members and the party president, Ms Margaret Wilson. The Government will be represented by the Minis-
ter of Women’s Affairs, Mrs Hercus, the Minister of Consumer Affairs, Mrs Shields, and the remaining Labour women members of Parliament. Workshop topics include childcare, training and employment, sexual harassment, domestic violence, family law, and affirmative action. ■ The conference will be held at Wellington Girls’ High School from February 14 to 16.
