Situations Vacant Situations Vacant REPUBLIC OF NAURU CENTRAL PACIFIC Applications are invited for the following position: TEACHER FOR COMMERCIAL STUDIES — NAURU SECONDARY SCHOOL DUTIES: To teach students typewriting and Shorthand of senior forms at secondary level ana conduct evening classes In commercial studies for outsiders to equip them for secretarial jobs. Assist principal in other duties related to functioning of school. QUALIFICATIONS: A teaching qualification with appropriate specialisation and experience. SALARY: $A8320-$ 11,050 per annum (Graduate); $A7550$11,050 per annum (Certified). Commencing salary will be commensurate with years of actual experience. (All salaries paid tax-free on Nauru). CONDITIONS: The Initial contract Is for two years and may be renewed by mutual consent. On appointment and on completion of contract, fares for the appointee and dependants under 18 years of age will be paid. Eight weeks recreational leave Is granted at the completion of 22 months service with return fares to New Zealand paid also. General personal effects sea freight allowance of 4.5 cubic metres for a married appointee and 2 cubic metres for a single employee Is paid at commencement and completion of contract. BENEFITS: Housing, electricity, water and local telephone calls free. Furniture at a rental of SAI2 per month (married) and SA6 per month (single). Mess facilities provided for single appointee at SAI2O per month or on casual basis. Free medical and dental treatment on Nauru. The General Manager would be responsible to the Board for the management of the business operations and applicants must have a proven record of leadership and be capable of developing outlets for the Company’s production capacity. Previous experience in either the newspaper or printing industries would be preferable although this is not an essential requirement as the General Manager is well supported by experienced editorial, secretarial and printing staff.
