F.O.L. officer resigns
PA Wellington The Federation of Labour is losing its news media liaison officer. Ms Mary Slater was approached in September to act as a link between federation officials and the news media. She was to work part-time until the end of the year. The F.O.L. and the Combined State Unions have plans to establish a joint news media unit. Ms Slater was employed to do some of the groundwork for the unit. Ms Slater leaves soon to join the Public Service Association’s Wellington district office as field officer.
A replacement has not been decided.
