Jemma Johnston, aged 13, and her pet Merino lamb, Amy, enjoy a swim in an irrigation lake on the property of Jemma's parents at Letts Gully, Alexandra. Amy was given to Jemma after being rejected by her mother, and began following the Johnston children to the dam when they went for a swim. She eventually tired of watching, and plunged into the water. Amy’s swimming confidence was somewhat reduced, recently, when she fell in a water race and went in over her head. Now she has to be carried into the water but, once in, still seems to enjoy her swim.
