Men in good spirits

PA Wellington The two New Zealanders injured in a recent Irdqi missile attack in the Gulf are being well cared for in hospital and are in good spirits, says the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mr Hector George, of Auckland, and Mr John Bums, of Napier, are recovering in a Middle East hospital after an Iraqifired Exocet missile tore through the engine room of the oil support ship Smit Maasslius which they were in.

A Ministry spokesman in Wellington said yesterday that the vice-consul of the New Zealand Embassy in Teheran, Mr lan McKinnon, had visited the pair in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
