Fire risk
The Forest Service reported yesterday-that the fire risk readings for its North Canterbury State forests were high and close to extreme.
These forests include the Hanmer, Balmoral, Eyrewell and Ashley State forests. The reading for the Geraldine State forest was medium yesterday.
