Bip on stage

The French mime artist, Marcel Marceau, will give two concerts in Christ- . church on July 24. The artist, who turns 60 this year, will perform in the Theatre Royal at 5.30 p.m. and 8.30 p.m.

Because suitable theatres in Christchurch were fully booked it appeared that Christchurch audiences would miss out seeing the artist who created the white-faced character, Bip. However, Mr Marceau will perform on the nonperformance day during the Christchurch Operatic Society’s season of “Westside Story.”
