Port case studied
Lyttelton businessmen last evening discussed how they would be affected if the base of the Chathams trader Holmdale was shifted from their port to Napier. The businessmen have set up a working party to prepare submissions to present to the Internal Affairs Department in support of maintaining the Holmdale
at Lyttelton. In addition, Mr A. H. Erdman, a businessman and member of the delegation which will go to the Chathams on July 13, wants to be able to take some information with him to present to the islanders. The Mayor of Lyttelton, Mr M. E. Foster, is chairman of the working party.
