Public Notices AKAROA COUNTY COUNCIL ELECTORAL ROLL OPEN FOR INSPECTION PURSUANT to the provisions of Section 78 and 79 of the Local Government Act 1974 Public Notice Is hereby given that the Roll to be used for 1983 Local Authority Elections for the Akaroa County Is open for Inspection. The rolls will remain open for public inspection until Friday July 22, 1983 and can be inspected at any of the places mentioned below during normal hours of opening. Any person may, not later than the 22nd day of July, 1983, lodge an objection in writing on the prescribed form at the Council Office, Duvauchelle, on the following grounds: (a) That any person whose name Is on the roll does not possess the necessary qualification at the time when the objection Is lodged; or (b) That any person whose name is not on the roll possesses the necessary qualification at the time when the objection Is lodged and Is entitled to have his name Inserted. Objection forms are also available from any of the abovementioned places where the roll Is deposited for inspection. A list of all objections to the roll may be inspected at the Council Office, Duvauchelle during normal working hours between Monday, July 25,1983 and Friday, July 29, 1983. AKAROA COUNTY COUNCIL LOCAI, RECREATION AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SCHEME Financial Assistance to Community Organisations APPLICATION for subsidies, grants and loans under the 1983/84 Local Recreation and Community Development Scheme are now being called by the Akaroa County Council. A wide range of community groups and voluntary organisations concerned with the promotion of recreational and community activities are eligible to apply.
