Foveaux loss less
Foveaux Radio, Ltd, incurred an audited loss for the year ended March 31, of $79,958, down 54 per cent on last year’s loss of $171,376. Revenue at $653,073 was up 23 per cent on last year’s $530,542. Expenditure at $733,031 rose 7 per cent on last year’s $686,205. The operating loss was arrived at after providing $35,008 for depreciation (last year $31,198). As 90.5 per cent of the year’s loss was recorded in the first six months, the station’s performance for the second half of the year was significantly better.
Sales for the first three months of the current financial year are 21 per cent higher than the same period last year, and the directors expect that the improved performance of the station will continue during the current financial year.
