Fair judges named
The judges have been named for the 1.C.1. New Zealand science fair to be held in Christchurch in October. The national fair will be the culmination of a year’s work by regional exhibitors. The best 26 science projects from throughout New Zealand will be judged. The chief judge is Dr D. A. House, of the chemistry department of the University of Canterbury. Mr J. Burrows will represent 1.C.1. New Zealand, the fair’s sponsors. Local judges will be Mrs V. Wisely, of the zoology
department of the university; Dr A. Metcalfe, of the chemistry department; Dr B. J. McKenzie, of the computer science department; and Mr T. R. Hitchings, principal of Riccarton High School. The chief judge for the 1984 fair, who will also sit on this year’s panel, is Professor 0. Thomas, of Napier.
