Pride in a job well done

Veronese Brothers, of Blenheim Road, consists of four brothers and two sons of an Italian family skilled in metal-craft.

The firm makes decorative gates, exterior staircases, balcony railings and security doors, plus a wide range of other wrought iron products.

It also makes steelframed fibreglass and cedarwood tilting doors — with or without windows — for garages, and various other light engineering items such as the metal arms for street lights; the bases for mobile filing cabinet systems; and other goods fabricated to order.

The gates are the most spectacular of the more usual projects.

There is no set pattern, as each gate is designed for the particular customer, who may want extras such as an “intercom” and remote control system to operate the latch.

All the work done by Veronese Brothers is to a high standard of craftsmanship. With no “outsiders,” there is direct involvement in upholding the family name, and pride in a job well done.

Zeff Veronese says everything they produce is made to last, with detailed care in the matter of sturdy construction and proper finish'.'l— — ■

ing, but the price is fair to the customer. If a better way of doing something is figured out in

the course of construction, that method will be used at no extra charge. Attention to detail even

extends to making their own heavy-weight springs for their box-framed tilting doors for garages.

“Something like that should work well, look good, and last a lifetime,” says Zeff.
