H-bomb survey
PA Nelson The New Zealand Returned Services’ Association will survey former New Zealand servicemen allegedly exposed to radiation fall-out during British Hbomb tests 30 years ago.
An article in the latest issue of the R.S.A. magazine, “Review,” follows up claims that some former
crewmen of Royal New Zealand Navy vessels used to observe tests at Christmas Island in 1957 are chronically ill after being exposed to fall-out. Two Nelson men, Messrs Bryan Stewart and Pat Tunnicliff, are sending information to a British investigation team at the University of Birmingham.
