Five Picasso etchings sold

Five original Pablo Picasso etchings, exhibited in Christchurch for four days, have been bought by a Canterbury man. The etchings were supplied to the Small Gallery in Christchurch by agents and friends of the artist in Barcelona. Although never before sold, they are listed in the official catalogue of Picasso’s work.

The buyer, who wishes to remain anonymous, is prepared to allow the etchings to be borrowed for exhibition and has asked that details of his ownership be passed on to the director of the National Gallery in Wellington. The etchings are at present on show at the Small Gallery, Lambton Quay, Wellington.
