NZPA staff correspondent Dunedin The All Blacks could tour the British Isles in the next few years before their scheduled 1990-91 season tour. The chairman of the Home Unions Tour Committee, Mr Mickey SteeleBodge, said after' the third test in Dunedin on Saturday that changes to the current international schedule of tours would have to be made to ensure New Zealand visited the United Kingdom before the due date.
“The present schedule is only a guide and there is every chance the All Blacks will be in Britain before 1990,” he said. “Whether this is a full tour of the British Isles or perhaps a two-country tour remains to be seen, but there will be changes made to the tour itinerary.” New Zealand last toured the four home unions in 1978, although the All Blacks visited England and Scotland on a short tour in 1979 and Wales as part of that nation’s centenary celebrations in 1980.
