Box 513, CHRISTCHURCH Ripaiw gOounty Council ANNUAL WATER RACE CLEANING NOTICE Is hereby given that all water races controlled by the Paparua County Council will be turned off on the following dates to enable landowners and occupiers to carry out cleaning and other essential maintenance work. 1- KNOLLS RACE: Monday, July 4, Thursday, July 7,1983, and thereafter on Monday and Thursday of each week until Thursday, August 4, 1983, and also on Saturday, August 6 and 13, 1983. 2— WEST MELTON WEEDONS RACE: Tuesday, July 5, and Friday, July 8,1983, and thereafter on Tuesday and Friday of each week until Friday, August 5, 1983, and also on Saturday, August 20 and 27, 1983. Landowners and occupiers are reminded of their obligation to clean the races through their respective properties and also to CUT ALL FENCES and REMOVE ALL GORSE, BROOM, AND ALL OTHER GROWTH OVERHANGING ALL RACES, including those cleaned by the Council. All fence trimmings must be removed Immmediately from the races. This requirement applies throughout the whole system, that is throughout the PAPARUA, ELLESMERE AND WAIMAIRI WATER RACE SUPPLY AREA. Failure to adequately clean races by September 30, 1983, will result In action being taken by the Council. Action will also be taken against persons whose gorse, broom and other growth Interferes with the Council cleaning operations.
