BUILDING RESEARCH ASSOCIATION OF NEW ZEALAND FIRE RESEARCH ENGINEER THE ASSOCIATION wishes to appoint a graduate chemical/materials or structural engineer to a permanent position in the fire research division located at Judgeford (35km north of Wellington). The division is involved in the fire testing of building materials and assemblies to demonstrate code compliance, research into various aspects of the effect of fire on buildings and providing technical information and advice to all sectors of the building industry. The division has a permanent staff of 4 professionals and 2 technicians which is augumented at various times by contract appointees. It is expected that the successful applicant will be aged below 30 and duties will include: 1 Research Into aspects of fire. 2 Development of test facilities. 3 Supervision of sponsored testing.
