The promising youngster, Poetryman, completed a lucrative season for his connections with a narrow but impressive victory in the Lucky Petfood Garden City Classic, the first leg of the T.A.B. concession double at the Christchurch Greyhound Racing Club’s meeting at Queen Elizabeth II Park last evening. An outsider, Westbrew, was a gallant second shading the warm favourite, Silent Orpheus which had to overcome a particularly rough passage in the early stages to finish third. (T.A.B.
