Disease prevention is one responsibility of the new assistant director of the Health Department’s Health Promotion Division, Dr John Clements. The British-born doctor, aged 37, has had considerable experience in this field as he was recently the chief medical officer of the Save the Children Fund for its Afghan and Bangladesh projects, and has also worked in Canada and Peru.
