Krishna leader to visit
A world leader of the Hare Krishna movement will visit Christchurch this week as part of a two-week New Zealand tour.
Bhavananda Goswami, of New York, will arrive in Christchurch from Australia to give lectures and initiate new disciples. The public talks will be held tomorrow evening in the Stringleman Room of the Canterbury Public Library, and on Saturday evening at the Hare Krishna centre in Bealey Avenue.
His visit will include a meeting with the Bishop of Christchurch, the Rt Rev. W. A. Pyatt. He will leave for Wellington on Saturday.
