The University of Canterbury Students’ Association president, Mr Tony Gray, said yesterday that the association could not prevent any student from participating in “pub crawls.” “The actions of individual students outside the univer-
sity campus cannot be considered actionable by the association and we cannot be responsible for each individual,” he said.
The association was not planning to take any preventive action to stop student “pub crawls.”
