Linwood, already assured of the Blank Trophy, had its closest call yet on the final night of the first competition round in New Zealand Permanent men’s division one squash last evening. The team was depleted both in playing strength and energy and only scraped home against Suburbs on a points countback. Robbie Burnett had his first loss of the club season, managing only 12 points against Max Morrison (Suburbs) but they were enough to give Linwood victory.
