Gore Guineas winner eligible for Levin
PA Levin The Levin Racing Club announced yesterday that it will guarantee a start in this year’s $105,000 Bayer Classic for the winner of the $lO,OOO Gore Guineas provided the horse has previously been enrolled, registered, and nominated for the classic. The Levin club’s secretary, Mr J. Watters, said that a joint sponsorshippromotion package linking the two races has been
arranged between the two clubs and Majestic Horse Floats, Ltd. The company has agreed to transport the winner of the guineas from its home base to Levin and return without charge. “The Levin Racing Club has gained tremendous support from South Island owners and trainers and is keen to ensure that they have every opportunity to run in the Bayer Classic,” Mr Watters said.
