Last Edition for Aust, stud
Last Edition, which has stood the last two seasons at Carl Middleton’s Millburn Stud at Highbank, is to return to Australia. The Bye Bye Byrd entire, which has left this season’s useful three-year-old, Steady Edition (placed in 1:59.8 at Addington), and Black Top, a Imin 59.1 s performer on a half-mile track in Australia, has been at stud on both sides of the Tasman at various times for the last six years. He spent his first two stud seasons at Jim Dalgety’s Lantana Lodge at West Melton. A reply to an advertisement in an Australian trotting magazine has prompted Last Edition’s owner to lease the horse to an Australian stud. “He will leave on the first available flight,” Carl Middleton said yesterday.
