Water safety campaign

PA Auckland The main thrust of the New Zealand Water Safety Council’s 1983-84 campaign will be aimed at the owners of small powerboats to encourage them to join a club and to realise the need to be properly prepared before putting to sea. The campaign will be launched at the New Zealand Boat Show at Auckland from September 28 to October 5. A council executive director, Mr Michael Frohlich, said that one of the features would be a 30-minute film emphasing aspects of safety. The film was being made available on cassette to clubs and safety organisations.
