A fireman plays a hose on to a blazing motor-cycle, while a traffic officer and passers-by tend an injured young woman, after the motor-cycle and a car collided at the junction of Lincoln Road and Parlane Street about 6.50 p.m. on Saturday. The St John Ambulance Service said that the woman motor-cyclist and a man were taken by ambulance to Christchurch Hospital, but the hospital was unable to give their names or conditions yesterday.
