Miss Bromac favoured at Blenheim today

Miss Bromac will have to improve very little on her third to Randall and Castle Del on Saturday to win the Penfolds Winter Handicap, the first leg of the T.A.B. double on the second day of the Marlborough Trotting Club’s winter meeting at Waterlea Park today.
Miss Bromac was late working clear and she dashed into third in the last few strides. Zansark was one of those most unlucky on Saturday. He was shuffled towards the tail of the field and was never properly clear, doing particularly well to finish a close eighth.
Rapaki Lass finished under a hold in eleventh place, not all that far from the place-getters on the first day. She is in fine form at present and her second to Randall at Nelson last Tuesday might be a better guide to her chances. Lord Kevello and his stablemate, Braedoon, will
add interest to proceedings, while another big run is quite likely from Castle Del. Harvey’s Sister and Waryreceived poor runs on the first day and they add to the form puzzle. Andrew James, an easy winner at Nelson last Tuesday, should bridge the gap to the next class with ease
in the second leg, the Creek Restaurant Handicap. Andrew James was allowed to miss the first day of the meeting. El Deuce and Noble Rex will be two of the hardest for him to beat, while there will be support for Delark, Buono Volato, Redeemer, Berry James and Memphis.
