While Telethon entertainment will be in full swing in a number of venues, people throughout the province will still be busy raising money. The Christchurch Parachute School will make between 70 and 80 sponsored parachute jumps and hopes to raise between $5OO and $lOOO. The North Beach Venturer Scouts will hold a disco at the Scout Hall, Leaver Terrace; tonight, and Debbie Whyte aid a group of friends will hold a stall at the Central New Brighton School. , While Ann Maree Ford aid four friends plan to push a wheelbarrow from Bishopdale to the Town Hall, North Caiterbury Hospital Board stiff will be pushing hospital beis from New Brighton to Cathedral Square. Members of the Amberiiy ecumenical senior youth grotp will be washing cars at tie Amberley Service Station aid Tony Shaw and four otties plan to push a pram from tie airport to the Town Hall, hazing a swim along the way. r Tomorrow Janine Brovn and friends will run fron Little River to the Town Hal, Christchurch Women’s Hospital staff will hold a fun run, aid members of the Leeston aid Southbridge Giri Guides vill travel from Leeston to Chustchurch, collecting on tleir way. / Mount Cook Airlines wil be offering scenic flights over Christchurch and tickets will be available at a kios in
Victoria Street, near the Town Hall. The Jet Boat Association is not to be outdone and the proceeds from jet boat rides on the Waimakariri River will be given to Telethon. Members of the Christchurch Mogal United Football team and the Manurewa team will be collecting before their match kicks-off on Sunday. Margaret Denis will give a chroma harp recital from 5.50 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. in the Stringleman Room off the Canter-
nury Public Library tomorrow and Janet McNurtrie and a friend will be running from Aidershot Street to the Town Hall. Nine children from the Okuku Pony Club will be holding a rideathon, about 100 people are expected to take part in a walkathon from the offices of the Co-ordinating Organisation for Parent Education to the Town Hall, fourth form pupils of Fairlie High School have organised a bikeathon, and young members of the St John Ambulance Belfast Brigade will be pushing sulkies from the Belfast School to the Town Hall. A variety of Telethon activities will be held at Colombo Bridge Motors and Radio U will stay on air for 41 hours this week-end for Telethon.
