Shuttle landing shifted

NZPA-ReuterCape Canaveral The American space shuttle Challenger was ordered to land at a contingency site in California early today because of unacceptable weather at the Kennedy Space Centre, Florida. Dense early morning fog made visibility poor for the space plane to make its first scheduled landing there. Challenger was due to land at the Edwards air base outside Los Angeles about 1.56 a.m. today (N.Z. time).
