Three South Island members of the New Zealand scout contingent to the World Scout Jamboree in Alberta, Canada, from left, Neville Bell, Brydon Hughes, and lan McDougall, show off their jamboree badges at Christchurch Airport yesterday afternoon. They are part of the 13strong New Zealand group which leaves Auckland this evening for Canada. Mr McDougall, of New
Brighton, is the deputy leader of the contingent, Mr Bell of Clyde, an assistant leader, and Brydon, aged 14, of Cust, a party member. The fourth South Island member is Clayton Weaver, of Invercargill. The scouts will spend 10 days at the jamboree and four weeks touring Canada and North America. Each member of the party has had to raise about $BOOO for the trip.
