The Environmental Grants Scheme was Introduced by the Government in 1978 and since then 115 grants worth $201,000 have been awarded. Grants will be made by the Minister for approved projects which should be completed by April 30,1984. Projects which will qualify for financial assistance, either wholly or in part, may include research, studies, surveys, displays, or educational resource materials. Grants will not be made to meet normal administration costs.
