The unit also maintains a national index of places and streets for electoral purposes. Present equipment consists of two PDP-11 minicomputers running the RSXIIM operating system. Software development is done in fortran. Peripherals include summagraphlcs digitisers, graphic screens, a broomall flat bed plotter, and a Calcomp 7000 high performance draughting system. The successful applicant will be responsible to the senior systems planner and have a degree in an appropriate discipline. Experience of database systems and computer graphics would be desirable. THE QUEEN ELIZABETH II JUBILEE HOSPITAL BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA FULL TIME MEDICAL STAFF RADIOLOGIST IN CHARGE APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED from suitably qualified Medical Practitioners registerable as Specialist Radiologist with the Medical Board of Queensland for the position of Full Time Radiologist In Charge at the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital. The appointee will be responsible to the Medical Superintendent for the provision and co-ordination of specialist Radiologist Services for the hospital and will act as head of the Radiology Department. The Queen Elizabeth H Jubilee Hospital is a busy, well-equipped, new, general hospital of 280 bed capacity, located in a rapid growth area of the city of Brisbane. The hospital played an Important role during the recent Commonwealth Games, providing admission and diagnostic facilities including Radiology, for athletes and officials. The Hospital is opening gradually, presently 140 beds in use. The Radiology Department has 4 rooms including a Casualty Suite, with new equipment for various procedures including angiography and ultrasound. Present Radiology Staff Establishment is 1 Full Time Radiologist, 6 sessions per week for Visiting Radiologists, 7 Full Time Radiographers. Present case load approx. 30,000 per annum, and increasing. The Hospital is a Teaching Hospital of the University of Queensland, employing Full Time Specialists in Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Radiology and Anaesthetics, Visiting Specialists, Casualty Supervisor, G.P.S and House Staff. An active postgraduate education programme is operative. SALARY AND CONDITIONS: $A50,046 per annum. In addition, $A2400 per annum on-call allowance and payment for clinical duties after 6.00 p.m. Position is super-annuable. There is no right of private practice. Study leave conditions are 6 months leave, or 3 months leave plus around the world air ticket after 6 years continuous service and thereafter 4 months leave after each 4 years service. Five weeks paid recreation leave and long service leave. Conference leave allowed at the discretion of the Board. Assistance with removal expenses available.
