NZ Safety acquires assets
NZ Safety, Ltd, the Auckland safety equipment manufacturer, has acquired the assets of Star Products, Ltd, for an undisclosed sum. Mr R. L. Tapley, who will remain as manager of the Christchurch motorcycle and equestrian helmet maker, said that the deal came into effect on April 1. Star Products already sent helmets to a wholesaler in Melbourne, and there was now a back up in Sydney because NZ Safety had a warehouse there, he said. NZ Safety makes industrial safety clothing and equipment, including gloves, boots, and helmets, and it is also involved in firefighting equipment.
