NZ Property Trust firmed 5c to 105 c yesterday in spite of two other proposed floats being withdrawn from the market after the Government hinted at changes to the tax advantages of such trusts. The only listed property trust traded on a range of 100 c to 105 c on a busy, mixed national sharemarket. East Coast Gas was listed yesterday, when the 50c shares traded at 70c each. It was also the most active issue on the market. Mainzeal rose 45c to 340 c, the price of the cash offer made by McConnell Dowell, the listed construction company. McConnell eased 5c to 240 c. Chase Corporation stood out on a 40c gain to 615 c, but Intertasman lost 30c to 120 c.
