NZ Property steady
NZ Property Trust was steady at 100 c on the largest parcel traded on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, after the Prime Minister, Mr Muldoon, hinted that there might be changes on tax advantages to property trusts. NZ Property Trust was widely traded between 88c and 103 c. Elsewhere the market was easier, and the N.Z.U.C. industrial index lost a further 6.47 points to close at 816.35. Some big falls occurred among market leaders, notably ANZ Banking Group, BNZ Finance, Carter Holt, and Fisher and Paykel. Leading issues to firm included Goodman, Lane Walker Rudkin, Mount Cook Group, and Winstone. Oil issues, which had firmed recently, came under profittaking.
