NZPA Hong Kong The New Zealand women’s softball team bounced back from Tuesday’s shock 0-1 defeat at the hands of China to beat Peking 7-3, in Peking yesterday. Against a side which included some of the Chinese national team players, the New Zealanders managed

eight hits and runners to reach home were Sal Saleauto (2), Robyn Rutter (2), Robyn Storer, Nardi Clark, Naomi Shaw and Betsy Swinton. Cheryl Kemp began to get into better pitching form before being rested by Debbie Mygind in the final innings, conceding six hits and taking six strike outs.
