Three die in crash
PA Kaikohe Three young men travelling in a Government Valuation Department car died after a two-vehicle collision in Kaikohe at 2.20 p.m. yesterday. They included Luke James Windmeyer, aged 21, a valuer, of Whangarei. Michael Joseph Leese, aged. 20, a valuer, of Whangarei. The name of the third Whangarei victim, aged 20, will not be released until the police have notified the next of kin. The accident occurred at a residential area crossroad in light rain. The car in which the men died was struck on the driver’s side by a utility vehicle. , One man died at the scene and the other two died on the way to hospital. A woman driving the utility vehicle suffered minor injuries. ■ < A Hamilton man has died from injuries he received in an accident at Tatanui, near Morrinsville, two weeks ago. He was Raymond Bruce Lamb, aged 25. He was one of five admitted to Waikato Hospital after the accident. » v
