Akaroa fire restrictions
Although Akaroa County’s prohibited fire season ended yesterday, a restricted fire season remains in force until the end of March, the county engineer, Mr K. A. Paulin, said yesterday. This meant that before any fire could be lit, a permit from the local fire officer was required, he said.
