Trampers’ cars interfered with
Greymouth reporter Cars were tampered with and a variety of items stolen near the Mount White bridge and at Klondyke Corner in the Arthur’s Pass National Park. • The Otira policeman, Constable J. Rivett, is investigating. Seven offences occurred near the bridge, with tools such as a spanner and a grease gun being stolen. Considerable damage was done to some cars as a jemmy was used to prise off side panels to gain entry. Three vehicles belonging to trampers and left at Klondike Corner were interfered with and a small amount of cash and a pocket calculator stolen.
