RED CROSS ■ SOCIETY (INC) VOLUNTEER DRIVERS REQUIRED FOR MEALS-ON-WHEELS SERVICE VOLUNTEERS are required urgently to deliver meals to the sick, aged and infirm in the Christchurch area. The meals-on-wheels service has been a proven community asset since the early 1950 s and. currently, about 700 meals are delivered on a Monday-Friday basis. The delivery service, which is controlled by the Red Cross Society, is entirely dependent on its success and continuity on public-minded citizens. If you can spare a few hours regularly to assist those less fortunate please phone Mrs Jackson (63-783).
