S.I. drivers for final in Auckland
The six South Island representatives for the final of the Air New Zealand junior drivers’ championship at Alexandra Park on March 13 were decided at Invercargill last Saturday.
The successful drivers were Robin Swain, Brian Norman, Leo O’Reilly, Jim Curtin, Greg Payne and Carl Markham. After the Auckland series, three horses will be selected to represent New Zealand in an Australasian series to be run at Kilmore, Ballarat and Moonee Valley in April.
