Prison escaper
An inmate of Paparua Prison who escaped from Christchurch Hospital on Friday was still at large last evening. Terence Rangi Whittaker, aged 24, who had six weeks to serve of a three-year sentence for robbery, had been taken to the hospital to have an . injured wrist X-rayed. He is a Maori," about 168 cm (sft 6in) tall, of solid build, with black hair. He was last seen wearing blue denim shorts and a T-shirt. He is not considered dangerous. .
