H| NORTH CANTERBURY HOSPITAL BOARD DEPUTY CHIEF EXECUTIVE AS THE RESULT of a promotion within the Health Services, applications are now invited for the position of Deputy Chief Executive. This is a senior position involving all aspects of the administration of health care services in a major teaching Hospital Board, as well as deputising for the Chief Executive during any periods of absence. The position calls for a person with extensive administrative and management experience at a senior level, preferably in the hospital/health service, and preferably holding a relevant professional qualification and/or university degree. The Board, which employs a staff of 6000, serves a population of 350,000 and the annual total expenditure is approximately $l3O million. The salary for the position will be determined by the Secretarial and Clerical Officers Grading Committee on the recommendation of the Board in accordance with the Hospital Services Determination applicable to Executive Staff within the range $29,231 to $30,977 per annum.
