Helmet danger?
Motor-cyclists who wear full-face safety helmets might be gassing themselves with carbon dioxide, according to the Observer Special Crash Helmet Accident Research organisation (0.5.C.A.R.) in Britain. Dr Tom Ravensdale, the field researcher leading the Observer news-paper-sponsored investigation, has discovered a number of accidents for which there was no
apparent cause. However, the riders were all wearing full-face helinets. Investigation is continuing. The researchers believe that there is a possibility that riders wearing fuiiface helmets gas themselves with the carbon dioxide from their own breath. The matter is also being examined by the Chalmers Institute of Technology In Gothenburg.
