NOTICE is hereby given that at an Ordinary Meeting of the Christchurch City Council held on Monday, the 23rd day of April, 1979. the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation as a Special Order at an Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on Monday, the 21st day of May, 1979. at 7.30 p m., in the City Council Chambers. 194 ManchesterStreet:
THAT TN PURSUANCE and! exercise of the powers vested ' in it by the Municipal Corp-1 orations Act 1954 and the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956. and all amendments; thereto, and all other Acts I (if any) it in that behalf j enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves, by way of Special Order, to proceed to raise in New Zea-, land a loan to be known as the Elderly Persons’ Housing (Wakefield Avenue) No. 2 Loan 1979 — $20,600. for the purpose of financing the additional cost of erecting Elderly Persons’ Housing Units for which the Elderly Persons’ Housing (Wakefield Avenue) Loan 1977 was raised and reimbursing the General Bank Account with amounts previously expended for this purpose, subject to the following determinations: (1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be 30 years. (21 The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding 3.5 per cent per annum. (3) Notwithstanding anything in Clause (2) hereof, the i ate of interest may be increased or reduced not less than three years after such part of the loan is borrowed and at intervals of not less than three years thereafter to a rate not exceeding the rate for the time being fixed by lhe Housing Corporation in New Zealand for new loans granted for similar purposes provided that in no case shall the rate of interest be increased to a rate in excess of the maximum rate for the time being determined by the Minister of Finance pursuant to Section 9 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956. (4) The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or halfyearly instalments extending over the term as determined in Clause (1) hereof. (5) The payment of all sueh instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such instalment shall be
paid out of loan money. (6) Such further conditions that may be stipulated by the Mortgage Loans Committee 9f the Housing Corporation of New Zealand.” J. H. GRAY, General Manager and Town Clerk. Health and General: Thursday, May 3. Housing and Property: Mon-1 day, May 7. Parks and Recreation: Tues- i day. May 8. Works and Traffic: Wednesday, May 9. Town Planning: Thursday, May 10. Policy and Finance: Tuesday, May 15. Copies of the Order Paper will be available to the public. The next Ordinary Meeting of the Council will be held in the Council Chamber at 7.30 p.m. on Monday, May 21. 1979.
