A big police hunt was . under way early this morn- ; ing for the man who allegedly attacked and raped a young woman in Stanmore’ Road. The woman, aged 19, told i

The man then jumped over a fence at the rear of the section and ran off towards Nursery Road. Inquiries would continue throughout the night, said the officer in charge of the case (Detective Senior-Sergeant A. G. I. Rodgers). The alarm was raised after the woman ran to the home of her boyfriend in Nursery Road. She was being examined by a police doctor late last evening. The man the police are seeking is 162 cm (sft 4in) tall, of very solid build, with red d i s h-coloured, closecropped hair. He was wearing a checked shirt, a green jersey, and “army-style” trousers with an ammunition pouch on one leg.
