Wool steady at Wellington
PA Wellington i Prices for fleece and lambs’ wool at the combined Wellington-Wanganui wool sale yesterday were firm on the Dunedin sale of April 11. The official report said that second-shear, best length and style, inclined in buyers’ favour, and poorer and shorter categories were up to 27 per cent dearer. Because of the dry condii tions, dust was prevalent in la number of lines. Some ofi i the autumn second-shear I showed good colour and I high vield. The market was widespread, the main buying Strength coming from Eastlern and Western Europe, I supported by Japan and New iZe'aland mills.
