Chch man for award project
A member of the Christchurch Air Training Corps is one of four New Zealanders selected for the Duke of Edinburgh international gold award project in Australia later this year.
Under Officer Craig Paulsen, of the No. 17 Air Training Crops Squadron, will in September join gold award holders from 21 countries. Their main expedition will take place in Adelaide.
Miss Kristen Harvey, of Blenheim, will also be in the group. She is studying for entry to Lincoln College. Sir Patrick O’Dea, the New Zealand co-brdinator of the scheme, said that this was only the fourth international gold award project since the scheme started 22 years ago. Other projects had been held in Canada, Kenya, and Hong Kong. i>
