Repeat howls win
The Kaiapoi skip. Travel Coup, gained his second win in three years at the Oam.i.u Easter bowls tournament when he beat Hec Ballantvne (Kaituna), 19-15, in the fours! final last weekk. Coup, who had three Oxford players (Ron Jeal, Toni Spittle and Roy Drummond) with him, gained his winning margin on the last two ends. Christchurch bowl.ers were beaten in two other finals. Andv Grav (Elmwood) lost
jthe singles final, 11-21. to Ken Campbell (North Otago) and Dave Sams (Barrington) was beaten by one point in the last round of I the consolation fours by Ron Gold (Western). There was also a large | Christchurch contingent at j Marlborough, but none of the 'fours reached the final rounds The title was won by the Blenheim skip, Kingsley Schroder, who beat his club-mate. Peter Webb, 21-18, in the final.
