Avon River history
Sir, — I am preparing a book about the Avon River. I should greatly appreciate the loan of relevant photographs that may be gathering dust in the attics and basements of your readers. Photographs of boats that plied up and down the Avon would be especially helpful. Any photographs on loan will be carefully handled and returned. — Yours, etc., R. C. Lamb, 102 Innes Road, Christchurch 5. April 20, 1979.
